Cortina 2021 was the special guest at the conference organised today by Dolomiti Superski, the largest ski area in Italy and Official partner of the World Championships, in view of the kick-off of the ski season.
On stage: Sandro Lazzari, President of Dolomiti Superski, Valerio Giacobbi, CEO of Fondazione Cortina 2021, and Kristian Ghedina, Ambassador of the World Championships.
The conference focused on the Audi FIS Ski World Cup Finals, scheduled for 18-22 March 2020, and the new collaboration with the organising committees of the Italian World Cup races – Gardena/Gröden, Alta Badia and Campiglio. This collaboration aims to promote the races in the Dolomites together thanks to joint communication and promotional activities, with a special discount on the tickets for the Finals.
Other topics included the new slopes, the facilities under renovation and other improvements, such as the anti-avalanche system with explosive bells in the Tofane area.
This valuable partnership plays a key role in the organisation of an event that doesn’t involve only Cortina, but the whole Dolomites area.
“We offer quality thanks to comfortable facilities, excellent snow, perfectly groomed slopes and high standards in hospitality”, stressed Lazzari. “The Dolomites offer us great variety. They are high and wonderful and we managed to equip them with all facilities to allow people to enjoy the most beautiful and interesting places”.
“The 2021 World Championships – explained Valerio Giacobbi, CEO of Fondazione Cortina 2021 – will bring not only important infrastructures but also great media attention, which will make the Dolomites area famous worldwide. It will be a great opportunity to present the sporting event, but also our traditions and our gastronomy”.
